Woodshack Furniture is made in a rural workshop, set in the small town of Brunswick Junction in Western Australia. The finest timbers are used, predominately native hardwoods which are unique to the South West corner of Western Australia. Specialising in traditional techinques these exceptional timbers are transformed by master craftsman, Keith Briggs into quality furniture that is built to last.
Everything is individually crafted so if the piece of furniture you want needs to be 50mm longer or have a cupboard instead of drawers – it’s no problem. Tables and chairs, beds, chests and wardrobes, cabinets, writing desks and occasional tables, bookcases, dressers, television or entertainment units and personalised office desks, all can be adapted to suit your particular needs.
Woodshack designs draw on both traditional and contemporary influences. Owner Keith Briggs individually handcrafts beautiful furniture, where the customer is part of the design process, to produce a unique piece that your children will look forward to inheriting.

I always had an interest in making things even at an early age. Spending time in my father's garage cutting and drilling small pieces of wood to make totem poles during my primary school years. My experiences in College while training as a Secondary Manual Arts teacher consolidated some previously learnt basic hand skills, however my skills in traditional woodwork developed when I started to specialise in teaching 'Furniture Woodwork'. Living in the remote North of WA meant that the only option for advancement was reading the more technical woodwork journals then practising the skills for many hours in the workshop. This period of my life is still one of the most influential. Moving to the Southwest 12 years ago finally meant that I had easy access to a variety of timbers and the ability to interact and share skills and knowledge with other craftsmen.
